So, Miss Bronwen Douglas, now that she is nine years old, what are her favorite things?

Favorite Books: The Wayside School Series, non-fictional books about animals, anything by Judy Blume

Favorite Song: Bella's Lullaby and Taylor Swift's, "I knew you were trouble."  She even wrote out all the lyrics for that one! ;-)

Favorite Activity: Reading

Sports: Swimming and Hip-hop Dance

Favorite TV Show: SpongeBob Squarepants

Favorite Movie: The Twilight Series

Favorite Subject: Reading

 

She is the most wonderful young woman I have ever met.  She is food to my soul.  The way she helps Conrad and I and our family is amazing.  She is Ava's best friend and Cate's bigger, wiser sister (Cate sees her more as a little mom).

 

I love this girl with all my heart and I am soooooo lucky to be her mom.  I know her daddy feels the same way.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the most beautiful dad on Earth.  Conrad, thank you for taking such good care of us.  We love you more than words.

We're waiting for Conrad to home, it's almost 7 p.m..  Cate brought her blanket over to me and asked me to cuddle her.  This is love. :-)

The Magical Forest

The weather is getting nicer, which means plenty of opportunities to go to the park. 

 

Years ago (before the girls started school), Bronwen, Ava and I used to go to the gym in the mornings, then once a week swing by Taco Time (LOL, I know, all that work to eat Taco Time) and take it over to a nearby park.  Honestly, I forgot about that tradition until recently.  Cate and I started the routine a few weeks ago, and it is so fun.  Though we just ran errands instead of working out last Thursday, we swung by Taco Time and took our soda and tacos to the "Orange Park" (Heritage Park).  We ate, then walked along some paths in the Magical Forest.  It was all good until I started calling Cate the enchanting princess of the Magical Forest, when she said, "Mom.  Stop."  Hahaha! ;-)

 

 

 

My birthday!!

Date night at Daniel's with my angel and our close friends. I was dressed head-to-toe in Guess, and he was decked out in Nordstrom attire. The night was perfect. :-)

 

 

Cozy Sunday

Somehow our cozy days coincide with having something yummy in the crockpot. ;-) 

 

We go to the library every two weeks and lately I've been picking up cookbooks.  I got two a few weeks ago -Crockpot Cooking and Cookies.  The Sunday before last, we went looking at houses just for fun, then came home to delicious Turkey Vegetable Soup.  After we ate, we make chocolate, peanut butter cookies.  Yummy! 

 

 

A Day of Play

It's been rare where I have a day off on the weekends, so when I do, we make it a point to play. :-)  Today's adventure was going to Imagine, a children's museum up in Everett.  We played, had sack lunches (so cozy) and came home to vegetable turkey soup that had been cooking in the crock pot all day.  Life is so sweet and wonderful.  I am very thankful for my beautiful family and all the good times we share.  Happy weekend, everyone!!! :-)
